Biography

I’m a second year International Policy student at the University of Georgia. In May of 2022 I graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. in psychology and political science. The field of psychology’s understanding of the human mind and human behavior fascinates me. I believe it provides valuable insight to the field of political science’s knowledge of how governmental systems operate. My unique combination of majors provided me with a distinct perspective on the world of policy. I plan to make use of that by pursuing a career in international relations where I can establish community and cross-cultural ties to improve intergovernmental interactions and contribute to the work of nonproliferation experts.

I think my writing and communication skills are well-suited for a career in international policy. While I am extremely self-motivated and accomplish tasks efficiently when working independently, I enjoy the camaraderie and mutual support of group work settings which foster creativity. I thrive in environments with clear expectations and standards, and my driven nature pushes me to exceed them in every way; however, I also enjoy using my creative skillset for projects with fewer boundaries.

Career Objectives

My short-term goals include completing my Capstone on the topic of international safeguards for small modular reactors: a project which represents the culmination of my education. I look forward to researching this topic in depth and exploring the ways in which it intersects with energy security, human security, and nonproliferation.

Ultimately, I’d like to combine my love of psychology, international affairs, and public policy by obtaining a position in the field of nonproliferation or national security.
